Saudi property registration starts for 154.118 plots in Makkah and Al-Jouf.
The Real Estate General Authority set first registration from 15 November 2026 to 18 February 2027 on the electronic registry and at service centres.

The Saudi Press Agency reported in Arabic on 3 November 2026 that the Real Estate General Authority will begin in-kind saudi property registration for 154.118 plots in the Makkah and Al-Jouf regions. Work runs from Sunday 15 November 2026 to the end of Thursday 18 February 2027. Sabq headlined the same day as registration of 154 thousand plots. Mubasher put the figure at 154.12 thousand plots, or 154.1 thousand in its headline, with the same start and end dates.
SPA said the Makkah stage covers named districts and parcels in Taif governorate and listed areas in Rabigh, plus further plots. Al-Jouf coverage includes Suwayr, Tabarjal, Al-Isawiyah, Qurayyat and Al-Nasifah, among them Al-Salem district in Tabarjal. The authority said areas were chosen on set criteria and that later phases across the kingdom will be announced in turn.
First registration will be available on the registry platform at rer.sa or at service centres. SPA and Mubasher both stated that a title deed meeting statutory requirements is required. From the start date each registered unit is to receive a property number and a registration title deed with geospatial data. Owners were told to check deeds ahead of the window; enquiries may go to official channels or customer service on 199002.

Omnia Desk
Clearer title windows in Taif and Rabigh, not a new freehold map for foreign buyers.
A fixed start and end for first registration in parts of Makkah region and Al-Jouf lets buyers and sellers time deed checks and transfers around official title work. It does not rewrite who may hold freehold. Ordinary foreign purchase rules in and around the Haram stay as they are; this is registry process, not a fresh ownership opening.
Anyone already in a deal, or weighing one, in the listed Taif or Rabigh pockets should confirm the deed meets the statutory bar before 15 November 2026 and use the window if the plot sits inside the named areas. Catalogue stock we show sits mainly outside these districts, so price bands and Wafi escrow paths we track are unchanged by this notice alone.
