Abu Dhabi property sales transactions rise 76% to $47bn in nine months.
ADREC data for the first nine months of 2026 put total deal value at 171.26 billion dirhams across 38,483 transactions, with sales the largest slice.

Arab News reported on 8 November 2026 that Abu Dhabi real estate activity strengthened sharply through the opening three quarters of the year. The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre put deal value at 171.26 billion dirhams, equal to $46.63 billion, a 76.1 percent lift on the same stretch a year earlier. Deal count rose 32.8 percent to 38,483 from 28,977. Property sales led the mix, with 23,749 deals worth 119.33 billion dirhams; that sales value sat against 58.20 billion dirhams a year earlier, and sales volume rose 49.2 percent from 15,910 deals.
Arab News said foreign capital in the emirate’s investment zones reached 86.11 billion dirhams, a 131 percent rise, and made up 81 percent of investment value in those areas. Non-resident individuals channelled 17.22 billion dirhams of foreign direct investment into real estate, set against 8.2 billion dirhams across the full year 2025, with buyers from 121 nationalities. Mortgage value rose 30.2 percent to 45.92 billion dirhams on 14,390 deals, up 13.2 percent from 12,706.
Al Reem Island led districts by value at 29.86 billion dirhams, ahead of Al Hudayriyat Island at 28.62 billion and Al Saadiyat Island at 18.69 billion, with Yas Island at 13.4 billion and Zayed City at 5.36 billion. ADREC registered 54 new development projects and issued 3,677 professional licences. Gift deals, musataha and long-lease figures were also published; full-year 2026 totals are not yet known.

Omnia Desk
ADREC’s nine-month tape is a bid-timing tool for Abu Dhabi, not a change to Omnia’s Saudi list.
The official print shows large tickets clearing on Al Reem, Al Hudayriyat and Al Saadiyat, with sales and mortgages both expanding. That is useful if you already own or are pricing stock in the emirate: match asking prices to a market that is actually trading at this scale, rather than to brochure claims alone. It does not alter title or tax rules for a purchase in the Kingdom.
We list Saudi stock, not these islands. [Our catalogue](C1) holds 41 developments in that market, including off-plan homes under Wafi escrow and completed stock from developers such as Dar Global and Al Majdiah. For a UAE peer read on prices versus turnover, set this ADREC release beside our Ras Al Khaimah property prices in 2026 report. Abu Dhabi’s nine-month totals do not reprice that Saudi list or rewrite the charge stack on a Kingdom buy.
