Role

Al Ahly Sabbour was founded in 1994 as a joint-stock company by the engineer Hussein Sabbour, whose consultancy was one of Egypt’s first engineering practices. In 1998 it established the partnership that gives the company its name, with shares split 60:40 between the Sabbour family and the National Bank of Egypt. Over three decades, and today chaired by Eng. Ahmed Sabbour, it has delivered more than 60 projects across Egypt, from Cairo to the North Coast and the Red Sea, covering commercial, residential and tourism schemes. That record is the strength a buyer leans on; the qualification to weigh is that it was built in Egypt. Wadi Zaha in Sultan Haitham City, launched in January 2025 and under construction since February 2026 with a stated RO 115 million commitment, is the firm’s first project in Oman and the opening move of a declared three-neighbourhood programme with Wadi Safa and Wadi Tala, alongside the planned Iconic Tower. The Omani delivery record is therefore being written now, inside a government masterplan whose infrastructure and phasing are state-run, and each purchase contract should be read on that basis.
