Buying from abroad

Watch it rise, from a distance.

An off-plan home takes two to four years to build. We keep you posted as it rises, and arrange the handover inspection if you cannot be there.

The short answer

How do I follow an off-plan purchase from abroad?

Through regular construction updates, the escrow statements tied to each payment, and a professional handover inspection. We track the build against the contract, flag delays early, and attend the snagging on your behalf if you cannot be there.

From reservation to keys

What we do at each stage.

  1. Each milestone

We keep you posted on progress against the contract and the escrow releases as each payment falls due.

  2. If it runs late

We compare progress with the contract handover date and tell you early, with your rights under the local rules.

  3. The handover inspection

We arrange an independent snagging inspection before you accept the keys, with every defect listed for the developer to fix.

  4. Keys and title

Registration of the completed home in your name, and the keys handed to you or your manager.

Questions

What buyers ask us.

What if the developer delivers late?

It depends on the market and the contract. In Saudi Arabia, Wafi lets a buyer terminate and recover funds if delivery is more than 180 days late. We check the terms that apply to your purchase before you reserve.
